A tourist attraction for everyone who wants to know the beauty of the island, and for any local who wants to “get some air”. It is one of the few castles in all of Europe, with a circular base and the also the oldest (dates from the year 1300).
Its history
It has served as a royal residence, former prison and in recent years as an excellent location for weddings and social events as the edition of the daily newspaper “Diario de Mallorca” awards. Highlights in the summer evenings, the different cycles of concerts that take place inside the courtyard of the castle: Jazz, Sacred music, Piano Concerto… An ideal plan for the senses. Perfect selection for a movie location and the wonder of listening to great musicians in a place with a splendid acoustics and which, hopefully, accompanies even the moon as a perfect accessory.
