Our initial choice was that he called us visually, for the exquisiteness of calling a wine “Le ragazze”, a wine with a personal dedication and a beautiful story that we were lucky enough to hear. The dedication to the two women who form part of the Fonterenza team is indispensable for the team leaders.
A Brave Wine, Out of the Ordinary
The brave choice of a name, the courage to give prominence to a personal story that is part of the day-to-day creation of wine.
The first time I heard of Francesca Padovani’s wines, people told of her main characteristic, the energy of their wines. That I was lucky enough to be able to appreciate.
But our sensation is that it is a wine to enjoy, with a Tuscan character, where the rhythm of time is set by you who arrive as a tourist. Wines with tremendous energy at home sip, and each tasting, wines that make you happy in good company, that for those with developed senses, appreciate the history and creation of a very special wine, very personal.
But the energy of these wines is the result of the daily work of the girls of Fonterenza, working side by side, and taking care of each one of the processes until arriving at a final result, worthy of mention.
A cuvé of Vermentino, Trebbiano and Malvasia, with a result with character, many characters, that of “Le Ragazze”.
With earthy touches of straw, pepper, acids… refreshing memories that remain in the mouth and lead us to travel to the wine of an era, that wine that not everyone came to know and that so many appreciated.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Golder, with shades of razor and shiny
Perfume: Notes of maceration, white pepper, acids.
Taste: Fresh, lively, extraordinary at entry and long memory in the retro palate.
Its strong point, the renewal of wine from the old methods, with minimal intervention, made in amphora, real natural wine by the belief of its owners and above all, by choice of themselves.
