The name of the restaurant is due to the fact that it is located in a former mechanic’s workshop. And while it is true that it continues to maintain that “open space¨ touch , it must be said that is seen great in every corner and detail, as its owner, Nico, has achieved that the architectural project and the reform made, is a reform of those that even for the most distracted, does not go unnoticed.
Not to mention all those who love good taste, architecture, decoration and symmetries… a place with straight lines where they play with the concept of a visible kitchen, a large space that looks like a large living room, a corner with sofas, large windows that remind us of the old studios and workshops on the outskirts of any big city. Spaces so fashionable in recent decades that they have even become lofts to live in.
A restaurant that has its own garden, where the vegetables and spices used in cooking grow naturally, under the attentive care and mime of its Chef.
A traditional Mallorcan cuisine with modern touches. Quality products and friendly staff that makes you feel at home at all times.
And it is that the disposition of the tables around this great ¨open space¨, the stoves with aesthetics of old chimneys, and the fair and measured details of each corner, make you think that you could be in the living room of house.
We were advised by his waiters, who knew his menu perfectly. We were delighted by their boneless suckling pig with pears in wine and mashed potatoes with celeri, and cebón Onglet with Bearnesa sauce.
They were traditional dishes that we all know, of great elaboration. Their presentation and the balance of flavours was a great success.
Do not forget that their wine list with great tribute to the Wines of the Terra de Mallorca, were a pleasant surprise.
